Struggled a bit today, it was my Nan’s birthday — she was more a mum than her daughter was my actual mum, she passed just before my 21st so you’d think after 22 years it’d get easier but it doesn’t.
I volunteered to organise something for the youth of our small town and it’s become much more stressful than need be.
Plus I’m not sleeping so that is most definitely not helping.

Positives
1. I woke up and got up
2. I got words 🙌🏻

Some words are better than zero words!

I’d like my RL to just a moment to calm down… but 5 x 30 minute sprints get me through

So much on. I had other commitments, made a last minute surprise cake to take to the CWA meeting that went for 2 and a bit hours and just drained me. Spent too long reapplying to Goodreads for their author program for a new pen.

“But you wrote words... well done!” ChapelWitch

A slow Sunday, but I got words, half as many as I wanted but some words are not zero words!

4 x 30 minute sprints in the afternoons seem to be working for me lately

I really want to write to the outline I wrote - it just doesn't seem to work.
But, 7 days in and I'm sitting in a good place, on target to finish by the end of the month.

“Way to keep it moving!” John M

I did 4 x 30 minutes sprints with an author friend of mine in South Africa who write post apoc. These words are the result of just hunkering down and pumping those words out. Particularly good once the family stopped interrupting me in the office. Extremely happy with this figure.

Consistency is the key to most things. I don't normally like to write on the weekends; that is usually reserved for family time, but I have more back surgery in late January, so I am trying to get some of my projects written, which will enable me to focus on healing and instead of stressing about not writing. 60k for the month of November -- I am coming for you.

I had trouble logging on Nov 1st so this is my word count for yesterday. I have to become more consistent about adding my daily words :)

I had a busy day, elevated pain levels and it's school holidays here so I've got kids home and my husband is recovering from surgery.

“But you powered through with words to be proud of. Good luck managing the pain and getting everyone in the house to play nice on your down days.” Craig
