A long day out with a sick child. Happy with the 100.
A long day out with a sick child. Happy with the 100.
I did update yesterday, but it didn't register again.
05/12 - 500 words - 21m
06-12 - 600 words - 23m
Lowering my word count goal this month while I put together a 90 day action plan to get the half dozen books sitting on my hard drive published.
Not the bang I wanted to end November with, but life with a small child is what it is. Wouldn't change it for anything.
4k short of my monthly goal (I went back and wrote 6 more words for an even 56k). No problem. I'm fine with that. I'm close enough that it doesn't matter, and the main thing is no zero days. And it's been 74 days since my last one.
As long as I keep going, the only way to move is forward.
500 words - 14m
663 words - Because I round down my word counts, this is the total of uncounted words after 30 days of writing.
Congratulations to everybody who took part in the challenge, even if you didn't meet your goal.
I did do an update yesterday, but it didn't post. Not the first time it's happened, but I failed to check. This is today's and yesterday's words.
28/11 - 2500
29/11 - 600
Not zero.
Another day that looks like this. Not worried. Tomorrow should be back on track.
I like how life has waited until the final stretch of the challenge to try and get in the way. Not as many words as I'd like, but not behind enough to worry.
I wouldn't be able to explain today if I tried. Nothing negative, but it's been weird and intense. No room for anything else. This puts me behind for the first time this month, but I'm confident I'll hit the month's word goal.
Another weekend taken up by other priorities. Nothing unexpected, and nothing to beat myself up over. Back to normal tomorrow.
One long session at the end of the day. I thought I would be able to steal some smaller sessions throughout the day, but I was wrong. It'll probably be the same tomorrow. Not a problem. Just gotta keep moving.
Might not have hit 2k in the MS, but I did spend an hour and a half putting together a 1200 word bullet point outline to get me through the end of the story, making sure I tie up all of the loose threads as I go.
Spread out again. I'd like to do more earlier in the day, but I'm not ready to put that pressure on myself yet.
Session 1 (editing yesterday's words) - 600 words - 37m
Session 2 - 1000 words - 42m
Session 3 - 500 words - 20m
Spread out the sessions today. Nothing hard, nothing easy. Nice and steady. More days like this, please!
Session 1 (editing previous days' words) - 300 words - 45m
Session 2 - 900 words - 29m
Session 3 - 600 words - 17m
Session 4 - 300 words - 14m
Getting into the last third of the document. All players and pieces are in place. Now to start guiding them towards the end.
Tired today, so spread the sessions out to keep them manageable. No extra words, but there's plenty of time left in the month.
Session 1 - 800 words - 28m
Session 2 - 700 words - 27m
Session 3 - 500 words - 17m
A day out today. I tried to get the words up, but this is what I can do for midnight. It should be easy to make up for the weekend over the course of the week, though.
