Just realised I've not updated SIA since Jane 14th. I have been writing on all of those days despite a trip to SPS in London and a 5 day weekend to celebrate two family birthdays plus to celebrate a wedding anniversary. So now I will do a flurry of updates!
Most of these were to add additional material to book 2 in my series to foreshadow some stuff in the later books and to round out some secondary characters more throughly to make the book longer (kickstarter in mind later in the year)

Getting started on the extra material for Book 2
On the train back from London on 12/06/26 I wrote a few more words and edited another 3 chapters. Then I had to have a little snooze.
Finished adding the extra material to book 1. Very fiddly, with a lot of hopping around between sections! Will be interesting to go back and edit it properly in context. I think it will make the story better and hopefully encourage better take up of book 2.
Adding additional material to an existing book is tricky work!
Back in the writing chair this morning.
Away on Sunday so only managed a very sneaky 10 minutes

Starting a new WIP - adding material to book 1 in the series to make it longer and more readable - words for 05/06/2026
Finished the first draft of the new reader magnet and did a first edit on the first two chapters plus edited 3 more chapters of book 7.
703 words before heading out for the day on Wednesday 03/06
More difficult day today, brownian motion type procrastination at play in my mind, but I pushed through it for 4,002 words on the reader magnet and then also edited 4,400 words on book 7 as penance for my procrastination :-)
4,145 words for me on June 1st to kick off the month
Finishing the month with 2304 on the day and going to keep recording as I'm participating in a 100 day challenge that is running in parallel to this.
I'm very happy I didn't miss a day even with a week's holiday landing towards the end of the month.
My idea of a 20k reader magnet is in tatters, at about 17k and not halfway through yet.
First day back home and a great series of scenes to write. Gave me a great word count for the day
