The end of the challenge and I'm pleased, that despite feeling ill the last 3 days that I've managed to exceed my 60,000 word target for the month. I've never written that many words in such a short time frame. Even more importantly, my creative brain was able to keep up with the word count when I wasn't sure it could.
On slightly disappointing note, the book isn't finished. 3 or 4 chapters to go which I'll complete in the next two days. That will take me well over the target words for the book, but I'm sure the editing process will strip some word count off that total.
The next two months will see me completing edits on the three WIPs I now have in stock which will set up my publishing runway at the beginning of 2026. Some publishing operational and tech logistics to take care of through Dec and Jan which will leave me ready for a fresh 30 day challenge on Feb 1.
Thanks to Craig and his team for setting this up and a BIG thank you to all who have provided me with encouragement through the challenge. Staying disciplined hasn't been easy, but the community nature of the group definitely kept me going, no question, and I'm so grateful for that.
