Getting settled into this new piece. Allowing the feeling of it to wash over me, find my footing. I never write in first person so its quite different but it is going easier than I expected.

I finished it. I thought it would take many more words but the moment I felt the tug on the scene I knew it was over. That was it.
No notes. I'm pretty sure all I have left to do is finish up this chapter and then the last one where I'm like, tying up loose ends. Oh boy.
I have maybe two chapters left and, that's so insane to me. I've been working on this book since December of last year (sure I released three novellas in that time) but man... it just.. feels surreal.
I had a lot more work to do today while also doing a round of graphics for this very book that I'm writing. I hope I can get in another 1000 words after I'm done dealing with dinner!
Nothing else remains other than to write the pay off. Getting what the main character 'needs' not 'wants'. I'll be more than likely writing a lot today, but I wanted to document the word count before the break.
"...like watching a lamb that had decided to walk into the packβs den instead of running from the wolfβs snapping jaws."
Wrote a scene I didn't really plan on. But its, perfect. Was happy to get in more words and hopefully make up for what I didn't get done yesterday.
Vibes of the writing: Devotion, mutual destruction.
"The way he fervently centered her attention back to him, left her in awe. Each word he spoke sank deeply as if made of lead, unwilling to be ignored."
The snow last night sort of made my sinuses have a tantrum and distracted me with headaches today and alas, my writing suffered, but chores did not. Either way, I finished out another chapter.
Being Sunday I got started a little later than usual which sort of threw off my usual flow and I had to tend to the cat a bit until I said, you know. Its okay. This is fine. Checked the words I managed to get in nearly 2000 and said, that's fine. This is fine.
Just wanted to end the chapter honestly, tidying up a few loose ends. Might Write another chapter later after I've had some food and what not.
You know that moment when you have no choice, where you have to push through. You have to either survive, but to do that you have to let go? There was letting go. There was change. Survival. And now, soon thriving.
Breaking points. Hoping that I don't push my character through it too quickly.
A woman known as the Raven serves up some lemongrass tea to a disheveled princess.
"Ivory blinked rapidly from the water and stared up at the black glistening eyes that were seasoned with a dangerous mirth."
"A little chill wandered in, sinking its fangs deep into the marrow and she couldnβt stop the light tremble that radiated out from her bones."
My princess running again. A set up scene for another that I've been waiting so long to write and oh boy I'm excited.
Rocks. *nod* Rocks.
Went back and added things to the previous chapter, was able to then write past it. Finished out that chapter, taking a break, on to the next.
Oh you know. Its all coming together. The beginning of the end as they say. Fields, blood, the walls closing in.
Sisters. Aveline and Erelle. Soft. Sweet. Terribly true.
