Writing when I should be working, but I'm a little behind schedule to get this book done. Almost there!! Crossed the 62K word mark.

Nice long sprint before bedtime, and crossed the 60K words threshold for this book! Finishing up the last couple chapters before going back through to edit.
Got inspired to write chapter one of a new book. Still editing the other, so I plan to switch back to that tomorrow.
Did a quick re-read of the first 15 chapters to make sure I am ending the story consistent with the set-up, and edited to add a few words while I was at it.
Cleaned up some existing words and added a few new ones. Now that the book is towards the end, it's going to be a lot of filling in the gaps instead of writing entirely new scenes.

This was 3 separate sprints, but I didn't keep track of each one, just overall word count.
Morning sprint before the kids wake up. I'm near the end of the story. Made it over 55,000 words for this book and rewarded myself by putting it up for pre-order! Need to edit and finish, probably another 8,000 words, but making great progress.
This week has been a nightmare. Fires, school closures, emergencies at work, and a neck injury. Trying to use this weekend to get back on track!
The kids' school is cancelled all week for the fires, so this is the best I could do. Looking forward to getting back to normal routine in a few days when the smoke clears. Ugh.

Filling in some gaps in the story instead of writing a fresh scene. I've officially passed the 50,000 words mark for this book! Still expecting around 65,000 total. I'm considering putting it up for pre-order for September or October, but I don't want to jinx myself.
Trying to get words in but I have friends in town for a wedding, so this is the best I could do today!
Quick sprint before work. I'm at about 48,750 words for this book, anticipate finishing around 65,000. Averaging 1,300 words per day which means I should finish the book by the end of the month. Someone give me permission to put it up for September pre-order once I hit 50,000 words tomorrow, haha!!
