I didn't know I could keep working on here so I didn't but I have been writing my 500 MIN word a day challenge since June 1- June 27th. As of today I have 32,028 I plan to keep going till I write the entire novel, with a 500 word a day minium. This is a challenge while finishing off my other book which is farther along in the writing of it. BUT let's face it the rough draft is fun and creative! My goal is 60k words in 3 months. I want this to be fun, and it has been! No stress OPPOSITE of stress. Writing for the joy of writing without any timetable to be done, only 500 words, no matter what the day.

I didn't write yesterday. I just didn't have it in me. But I forced myself today. This was dictation... struggled a bit but I am back on track.

no dication today. Just music. I needed to have my "tunes" to get me going today and my keyboard. I knew what scene I was doing but didn't really know how it was suppose to play out and I really wasn't up to writing at all today. Bad headache. BUT took a couple minutes and then it just came out! Man this book I have no idea where the hell it is going and is proving it is going to be as complicated as the first book in the series... ugh.. that book cut me open and dug pieces of my soul out with it. Of course this one is going to be complicated too... why. Do. I . Do . this. to. myself...?

β€œThey say no two books are alike in the process. I can definitely say that's true after four books, going on five.” – MelissaCook
β€œAnd they call it 'talent'. These difficulties, and persistence in the face of them, are what separates actual writers from 'I'd like to write a book one day.'” – CreativeClaire
β€œThanks you guys, for saying words I really needed to hear. Struggled today again (failed yesterday and wrote nothing) but I refused to miss another day. Glad I fought through it!” – Deena Thomson

Today is a win even though it is small... I went to a winery for a book swap and am shocked I even got 668 words. BUT let's call it fun and information clocked since you can not write about people if you are not out there living knee deep in the life of people. Every character I write... are bits and pieces of my personal life experiences and ideas and those I know... and get to know. They say writers are introverts... I say no, some of us are extroverts watching everything... while deep in the center of it all.

β€œSo true! I've written about experiences I've had and things friends have experienced.” – Lisa R. Schoolcraft
β€œI have cribbed entire characters out of real life. Changed the names and locations. And didn't even know that was what I was doing till later!” – WayneKey
β€œGet busy livin’ to get busy writin’ … or something. With you on that mindset! :)” – kristinardisbooks

knew exactly what I wanted to dictate today the chapter following yesterday- So I was prepared mentally for the image I wanted to describe and the feeling of the charcter involved. Knew I would have a good half hour before my client arrived and so, that is what I did! I am getting better at dictation and not freezing when I screw up but just continuing. Really looking forward to doing my own challenge of 500 words a day dictation after tihs! With another story idea. Hopefully this makes me a fast writer, and have two projects on the go at the same time. One fun.. creative the other editing... which makes me want to pull my hair out haha!

β€œGreat work!” – S.J.Rowe
