Words are from an academic project, not my current book - darn. I met my new editor for my romance-suspense series and now have a deadline of September 15 for book 2. Book 1 is being edited by a different editor, with a due date of June 7. Beta readers are up next. Juggling all the pieces of an Indie author's world.
Darn flu. I wanted to write more.
Reviewed the final chapter of my reader magnet, and immediately started chapter one of my next book. I had 1,250 words in draft form from six months ago, but I spent time editing, adding, and deleting, so I'm counting all the words since they officially became the first draft.
Finished my first romance-suspense novella today, coming in at 22,629 words.
One more chapter to go, and my book is done. Darn flu turned out to be COVID if taste is an indicator. I spent most of the day asleep. Dang. Still managed to get in some words.
