I got an early start today, and managed two hours of dictation while the house was quiet. I'm really glad I did. This has been a full week of me showing up, currently on day eight. That's eight days of solid writing. I haven't had a streak like this in a long time, and this is exactly why I wanted to throw myself into this challenge this month.
But more than the consistency, I was actually stuck on this story. Having those couple of hours today to just dictate with no distractions at the start of the day meant I had a huge breakthrough and managed to figure out what my problem was.
So I dictated 10,195 words today. I'm pretty proud of that. It puts me at over 50,000 words in eight days, which is amazing, and it's brought that spark back for me this month.
